Sunday Blessings…

Hello OTP family!!

It has been a a little been a little while since I was able to post anything. I have been having some technical difficulties. I was not able to post a couple videos, but I am back.

I feel a pressing in the spirit to have intercessory prayer.

There is so much going on in the world. No matter what side of an issue you fall, we can all agree that prayer is necessary.

The Bible tells us:

– Men should always pray and not faint (Luke 18:1).

– Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

– Pray for one another. Our prayers are powerful (James 5:16).

– Pray for all men (1 Timothy 2:1).

How Do We Pray?

The Lord’s Prayer is the perfect example.

Matthew 6:9-13, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

This can been seen as a “prayer outline” on how to structure our prayers.

– We start with acknowledging God, and worship (Matthew 6:9)

– We then pray for God’s will to be done – in our life, the lives of our loved ones, our situation, the world, etc. (Matthew 6:10).

– We then ask God to meet our needs – our daily bread (Matthew 6:11).

– We the repent and ask for forgiveness and express our willingness to forgive others Matthew 6:12).

– We then ask for God’s guidance and protection. And we conclude with praise (Matthew 6:14).

A Call to Prayer

This is a 5 day prayer challenge that I hope you all accept. August 21, 2023 through August 25, 2025, we will be praying daily at 7:30 pm.

Please join us where ever you are at this same time. And join us in prayer. Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Prayer Schedule

Day 1 – Pray for yourself, your family. Praying for unity, that brotherly love may continue. Praying for health and prosperity. Praying for salvation and deliverance.

Day 2 – Praying for your country. Pray for the leadership in your local city, State, and Federal government. Pray that God turns their hearts back to him.

Day 3 – Pray for the morale of your fellow countrymen. Pray that God brings us all back – “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.Ephesians 4:3.

Day 4 – Pray that the eyes of the spiritually blind may be opened. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Day 5 – Pray for spiritual discernment. Pray for discernment between what is of God and what is of man. Pray for discernment of the spirit of God and the spirit of error. 1John 4:1-3, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”
