The Faith Formula

Matthew 8:23-27

“And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”

Our Faith Must Catch Up to Jesus.

1. Jesus is not moved by the circumstances of life. We must understand storms do come and can cause untold damage if not checked.

2. Do not be fearful. Understand fear and faith cannot operate at the same time. Jesus can only move through your faith.

3. We must stand up in the authority that Jesus gave us through the Holy Ghost. Speak the word of God, rebuke the winds and waves of life.

4. Keep walking by faith. Expect a great calm as we operate by faith, expect the storms to obey.

Caution: Change your thinking about Jesus. He is God, and he dwells in you. He is not just a man. With him all things are possible. He wants us to understand that and act accordingly.
